What is included in the menu price?
BBQ Grill(s); Canopies over our Food, Beverage, and Novelties; Buffet Table(s); Buffet Linen(s); Serving Equipment; Chaffers/Warmers & Disposable Plates, Plastic Flatware and Napkins.

Are there are any additional charges that are NOT included in the menu price?
Labor/Staffing Charges (Cooks, Servers & Event Manager); Minimum of 18.5% Service Charge on Food, Beverage, Labor and 15% Service Charge on Equipment/Rentals; & Applicable California State Sales Tax.

Can substitutions be made to any of the menus?
Yes, you may substitute entrées, sides, salads, and desserts for liked priced menu items. We have created “Build Your Own Buffet Menu” to allow our clients the ability to customize a menu to fit their needs.

Are there Vegetarian Options available?
Yes, we offer a variety of Vegetarian Entrée Options to choose from to serve in lieu of the main entrée at your event. We will automatically bring out enough vegetarian meals to serve approximately 10% of your guest count, unless otherwise specified. The vegetarian option will NOT be served off the buffet line, but will be upon request ONLY. Call for Vegetarian Entrée Options.

Does Bar-B-Que Express cater events for less than 150 people?
Yes, we cater events for less than 150 people. All of our menu, beverage, novelty, dessert, & appetizer prices are based on events averaging 150 people or more. As your guest count drops below our base of 150 people the menu price increases. Call us for more information.

Does Bar-B-Que Express offer Children’s Menus & Pricing?
Unfortunately we do not offer lower menu pricing for children, however that is why most of our menus come with Hot Dogs. When calculating your guest count, do not include children 3-years-old or younger.

How long will the buffet lines be open?
Our Buffets are severed for up to 2 hours and our Hot Dog Stations are served for up to 3 hours.

What is Bar-B-Que Express’ staff uniform?
Our uniform is Red or Black Polo Shirts with Black Aprons & Black Pants. For Beach or Hawaiian themed events our staff will wear Hawaiian Shirts. For upscale events our uniform consists of White or Black Dress Shirts, Black Ties, & Black Pants.

Will Bar-B-Que Express cook and serve my food?
Unfortunately, our insurance prohibits Bar-B-Que Express from cooking food in which we do not handle. However, if you choose to bring any of your own food items we will allow you to place them on our buffet tables to be served. Prior written approval is required.

What other services can Bar-B-Que Express provide?
Bar-B-Que Express can also help provide Entertainment, Inflatables, Interactive Games, & Equipment Rentals (Tables, Chairs, Linens, Etc.). Also, one of our Sales Representatives can help research, find and book a park, beach, or private location of your choice. All location fees and permits will be client’s responsibility.

Where can Bar-B-Que Express Cater?
Bar-B-Que Express can cater at any location that allows outside caterers. For example: Most City, County & Regional Parks; City & State Beaches; Company Location/Warehouse; Homes/Backyards; Banquet Halls; Etc.

How far will Bar-B-Que Express travel?
Bar-B-Que Express will cater anywhere in Southern California. Travel Fees & Additional Labor Charges may apply to locations outside of the Los Angeles & Orange County Areas.

How much do you charge for Labor/Staff?
Labor/Staffing Charges depends on the scope and size of your event and is based on your menu, number of guests, event times, set up restrictions, rentals, travel time, etc. Please call us at 800.750.1770 for a quote.

Does Bar-B-Que Express cater weddings?
Yes, Bar-B-Que Express caters weddings; however we are NOT wedding coordinators, but would love to be a part of your BIG Day! Our delicious food grilled fresh onsite is great for a causal, relaxed family atmosphere.

Is Gratuity included?
Gratuity is not included and is to each client’s discretion.

How far in advance do we need to book our event with Bar-B-Que Express?
The sooner you book your event or catering services with Bar-B-Que Express the better. There is NO guarantee of available dates or the availability of entertainment, locations and/or other services. Peak summer weekends and December/Holiday weekdays fill up fast. All bookings are on a first come first served bases.

How do we reserve Bar-B-Que Express’ catering services?
To reserve our catering services we will need a signed catering contract along with a 50% deposit to hold the date and pricing of your event. Before signing our contract we will need the guaranteed minimum guest count. The guest count cannot be reduced more than 10% from your initial event booking.

What forms of payment does Bar-B-Que Express accept?
We accept corporate checks, personal checks, money orders, & cash. We also accept credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard & American Express).
